With many years working experience in the industry I have the knowledge and skills to competently carry out most property maintenance/improvement and repair jobs asked of me.


Honesty

I will never try to sell you a service that you do not need. If there is something I cannot do, or do not feel comfortable in carrying out, I will be honest with you and advise you as to who or what type of business you may need to carry out the works in question.


Reliability
If you choose to hire me for ‘whatever’ the job may be, I will turn up when arranged or keep you informed if there is a hold up or other issue.


Fully insured
I operate a registered and fully insured business with public liability insurance of £2,000,000.

Hi I’m Matthew, If you ever tried to hire a tradesman to carry out smaller works or odd jobs you may know first hand just how frustrating an experience it can often be, hopefully I may be able to help. 
​I'm based in Bristol and work in Bristol and surrounding areas I have a loyal customer base and welcome new enquiries from anyone looking for a comprehensive service to carry out all manner of property maintenance/improvement and repair tasks, at home or the workplace.

 

It's not always about the small things, I also take on slightly larger works that may take a few days to complete, so please feel free to contact me regarding any requirements you may have.

  • Services

    Fitting blinds/curtain poles, re-sealing baths/shower trays, hanging doors, installing shower screens, constructing and/or fitting shelving and storage solutions... these are a few examples of commonly requested jobs but are by no means an exhaustive list, in fact barely scratching the surface of the variety of jobs I am routinely called upon to do. I am to carry out most requirements you may have, non notifiable electrical jobs such as changing light fittings sockets/switches etc, and I cover traditional trades to include tiling, plastering, carpentry, and general building fabric maintenance. Basically, Icarry out most things.

  • Standard Rate

    £35 for the first half hour, and then £20 per half hour after that for all handyman work undertaken by myself (Minimum per appointment is 1 hour) – transparent charging which ensures my customers get value for money.  Standard rates apply Monday – Saturday, 8am – 6pm. 

    You can pay by bank transfer, card or cash


  • Sunday or evening rates

    If it is not convenient to have the jobs done Monday – Saturday, 8am – 6pm, an evening or Sunday appointment may be arranged – the charges are £40 for the first half hour, and then £25 per half hour after that.

Terms & Conditions

If I arrive and unable to carry out the work through no fault of my own, the minimum charge applicable to the booking will be applied (£55)

For fixed rate bookings, however, or bookings scheduled after 6:00pm on a weekday or at any time on a Saturday or Sunday, we reserve the right to charge the total estimated value of the booking


Rescheduling/cancellation policy

If you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed booking, please give us 48 hours notice to avoid a late notice charge of £20.

 

Detailed written quotations

A detailed written quotation is available for your project and is chargeable at £25, which is refundable when your project goes ahead – ideal for insurance claims
